What is a CDPE?
A Certified Distressed Property Expert® is a real estate professional with specific understanding of the complex issues confronting the real estate industry, and the foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners.
Through comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs are able to provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in today's market, specifically short sales.
Do I qualify for a short sale?
The qualifications for a short sale include any or all of the following:
- Financial Hardship - There is a situation, often out of your control, causing you to have trouble affording your mortgage.
- Monthly Income Shortfall - A lender will want to see that you cannot afford, or soon will not be able to afford your mortgage.
- Insolvency - The lender will want to see that you do not have significant liquid assets that would allow you to pay down your mortgage.
